Client wants to see the elevations with this particular piece of trim, indicated in the picture with red arrows. I’ve no doubt I could cobble it together, block by block with members or some such…but if that’s the only way I’ll just tell the guy I can’t model it and he’ll have to work it out with his builder.
I don’t see how I can create a trim profile that will do that unless maybe it’s some sort of 2-piece application, but you can’t stack trim over each other (well…you can…maybe, using gap/offset) or get it to segment…I don’t see this being possible though
If it was me i would create it with it member. Would not take long at all.
Put a flat 2×6 along house and change the profile so it has two sides on a 90 degree angle and then just adjust the size to what you need. and then add a post for the vertical part and change profile to rounded if you want it like that or keep it flat (pic is kinda hard to tell) adjust size and array it across, does not take long i do this quite a bit. I don’t think you can model a trim to make it look like that. You can try and draw it in 2d on a worksheet paper then make it a polyline and save it into your crown profile but i really doubt it will work for that.
That’s the way i do it but someone might know a better way.
Hey that looks good, now if you select that whole thing every item one at a time or right and select all similar. you should be able to add that as a group or as an item in your catalog for future use or as a way to quickly use it on rest of house.
